Logo design process for Integrity Sport

Integrity Sport logo

Integrity Sports have over 20 years experience in providing professional and enjoyable sports corporate hospitality for their clients. As one of the leaders in the industry they have a reputation for managing hospitality at leading sporting events such as The Six Nations, Grand Prix, Cheltenham Races and The Ashes.

Design Brief

Our client wanted a logo that alluded to 'sport and/or people having a good time'.

Specific keywords for the project were: simple, corporate, fresh.

Brainstorming

Several early logo sketches were created using the computer and hand drawn on paper.

Using the 'I' and 'S' to create a logo with 'movement'.

The concept of the 'I' and 'S' is taken further. It was easier to use a pen and paper for this symbol as it allowed us to test many different versions quickly.

Client Feedback:

At this point we send all our brainstorming mock ups to our client to get some initial feedback. Our client favoured the design using the 'I' and 'S' so we then began to develop this further.

Text Layout:

We begin to try different ways of placing the text next to the main symbol.

Colour:

We create several different possible colour combinations for the logo which we send to our client who decides their preferred combination is Red and Blue.

Styling the fonts

Once we have decided on the colour and symbol we play with making minor adjustments to the style of the text. We try italics and upper case but ultimately decide on simple lower case text throughout. We also change the square dot that makes up the letter 'i' to a circle to mirror the circle in the symbol.

Polish

We create a professional symbol using Adobe Illustrator which will allow the logo to be scaled without losing any quality. It will also allow us the freedom to easily make minor amendments in the future.

Colour Change

At the last moment our client decides they would prefer a different colour combination to the Red and Blue. We quickly turned around a contact sheet with logos in lots of different colour combinations. Our client decided on green and blue and we amended the logo accordingly.

Final Logo

Logo is sent to the client in different formats for their future use.
